Stacey Lake has lived in New Mexico her whole life, though she did spend several years away at universities in Texas, England, and Scotland as she pursued her degrees. She earned her BA in English and Education from Hardin-Simmons University and her MA in English Literature from the University of New Mexico.
Stacey taught gymnastics for many years, and she continues to love the sport. She is currently an English teacher at a private Christian school. She loves seeing her students learn, and she especially loves seeing them gain an appreciation for reading and writing. In 2013, with the help of one of her like-minded students, she started a literary magazine called Musings, and for years she has encouraged her students to submit their own writings as part of the annual release of the magazine.
Stacey loves the Lord, she is active in her church, she likes to sing, she enjoys traveling--especially to Scotland and France--and she cherishes the time she can spend with her family and with her dogs, Cosette and Gavroche. During her time "off" in the summer, she teaches French in a unique summer school program, she reads, she works in her garden, she travels whenever possible, and she dedicates as much time as she can to her writing.
